Generosity was always central to Kanwal Edwin's life and would shape his interactions in both business and ministry. He would often return from his travels abroad with an empty suitcase after giving his clothes to strangers, even habitually taking off his jackets and shoes for the homeless community he encountered.

1980: Leading Agency Award
In his first year, Kanwal earns the Leading Agency Award from American Income Life Insurance Company.
1982-1983: Fireman's Fund
Within the next two years, Lord and Kees receives multiple awards from Fireman's Fund Insurance Company including:
- Top 25 Agent Award in 1982
- Top Agency Award in 1982
- Top Producer Award in 1983
- Top Agency Award again in 1983
1990: Yolanda Edwin-Rios becomes President
After a decade of running the company by himself, Kanwal discovers the talents of Yolanda Rios and makes her the first President of Lord and Kees Financial. 
1991: Presidential Blvd & City Line Av
A year after Yolanda Rios becomes President, Lord and Kees relocates to Presidential Boulevard.
1996: Pioneering the KOP Boom
King of Prussia, now transforming into a metropolis, experienced incredible development in the 1990s. Lord and Kees Financial Systems pioneered in the movement responsible for the area's success today.
2000: Gold Club Producer Award
At the turn of the millennia, Lord and Keys Financial earned the Gold Club Producer Award from Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America.
2016: Operations in West Norriton
Staying true to the mission of putting their clients first, Kanwal and Yolanda decide to move their company to West Norriton. This increases accessibility to their services for many new communities.

Lord and Kees Financial Systems Inc. Founder Kanwal E.E. Edwin died Feb. 7, 2022 at age 77. Kanwal started the business in 1980, when he opened an office in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. Through the years, that enterprise prospered and led Kanwal to further the success of Lord and Kees. In 1990, he discovered Yolanda Edwin-Rios, an up-and-coming financial planner, and appointed her as the first President of Lord and Kees Financial Systems Inc. Today, Lord and Kees has flourished into partnerships with North American Life and Health Insurance Company, Guardian Life Insurance Company, Lincoln National Life Insurance, and Nassau Re Insurance Company and boasts an all-female Team of Consultants, Coordinators, and Administrators. Kanwal’s family has continued his tradition of leadership, including his wife Yolanda, who now acts as the company’s CEO and President in 2022, and daughter Esther, who serves as the current Technical Support, Social Media, and Website Administrator.

Kanwal always maintained he wasn't just living the American dream, but also the dream of leading his family to a future they could thrive in. From legally immigrating over 300 families from Pakistan to the US, to forming lifelong ministries throughout Philadelphia, Kanwal viewed his family as more than his children and wife; his family became an assembly of "spiritual children and grandchildren" from around the world.

Our goal has always been to personally improve the lives of our clients, even outside of business hours.
